Bev Langlois
Registered Midwife, IBCLC
I started working as a midwife in this community in 2010 after receiving my Bachelor of Health Sciences in Midwifery. Since then, I have also done locum work in neighbouring communities and in Canada’s far North. From 2018-2020 I was a technical consultant for the Canadian Association of Midwives partnering with Global Affairs Canada and UNFPA on a project in South Sudan. I am an active preceptor in the Midwifery Education Program, OSCE/ESW assessor, and a founding partner of Born Midwives.
I have a grown daughter and two rescue labs. I enjoy attempting projects around my home, and take as long to finish a book as I do to finish a knitting project. My latest pride and joy is that I am pursuing a Masters of Science in Midwifery part-time through McMaster University.
